Thanks Glynis. I'm getting over it now, but I've had two lousy days because of it! Its such a shame - I love Cyprus as anyone who has read my posts will know. Still, its MY holiday and they ain't gonna spoil it!!

Might just be me but I have a habit of going to the till when I pay the bill.

Watch the money or cc all the time.

I am a lousy tipper as well.

Will however remember what you say - I go on Wednesday.

I'm sure its only the minority who do it but your idea of going to the till with payment is a good one. I think they work on the number of drinks sold and presume you'll be a bit drunk by the time you've had 8 pints and will accept their word. Unfortunately for her I was still very sober.

Re. tipping the irony is that when I paid the first bill I gave her a good tip!! Still - she won't be getting another one!

Ah well - put it down to experience I suppose.
