oh i see, ok, I am sure you had genuine intensions to warn people jcarey...then I guess you should also be aware that review sites also offer incentives for users who post their reviews on their sites given that it has a certain length to it.. So Then, in your saying, people can post holiday reviews on holidays they never been onto and get rewards as well? So we should all doubt each other and the decency of companies whether it be holiday companies or review sites. Critisicing a company action and giving information on it is something else, throwing dirt on innocent, clean and hard working companies and helpful, caring, honest people is something else.
You say you have no problem with ICR and have travelled with them before. Obviously, you missed a point while travelling wit us. There is no playing around with us, we never take the back door and stand for everything we do. Most users on HT already know alot about us and our long time operations by now and proudly can say that we have been the company with the least amount of complaints through out all these years. Have lived up to our reputation and keep on working hard to continue. If we are not doing much wrong in serving you, then what is the problem of us wanting to publicise this? How does this hurt you? People could as well go on and give bad reports for us if we have done something wrong and this is our risk.
Over the years, i have learned one thing from the British friends and customers, (and esspecially from HT as I have been a member here for a long time)
being open and speaking out. If they think something is wrong, they dont care what it is, they will go on and speak it out and report it. Isn't this what you have done as well? So, if I am not wrong in my analysis, if ICR had done something wrong, then it would already be on the internet (and trust me there must be some) and if not, here is the chance, tell the truth and get a reward. Yet if the reports are good, then as a consumer, what else could you ask for than having a good company by your side at a holiday destination you may favour??
if a tour operator cannot survive without getting their forum members to post good comments about them. with an offer of cash rewards,
a false statement, yes you are speaking out but you are giving a FALSE and bias information your self. And as far as
survival..not even going to make a comment on this insult!
We said from the begining to the end, you must be an ICR customer, you must be objective, must be a genuine report. Sorry but we are not all that stupid to go public with a campaign on a site that gets thousands of hits daily to create question marks on people's minds. Obviously this campaign created question marks on some people's mind saying, like: hey ICR is buying people's good reviews - so obviously one would have to think that the people's opinions are for sale and for as cheap as 5-10 quid?? good one!
