i have been looking at another forum relating to turkey and have been shocked to see that some other members who use this forum have been self promoting their own buisness and friendships and getting their users to leave good feedback on this site. so they receive cash,discounts of their trips etc
this site is for people who require infomation and help with holiday issues,if a tour operator cannot survive without getting their forum members to post good comments about them. with an offer of cash rewards,
i will show link so people can see i hope briar can sort this as i think it is very worrying to no that people could be givin out the wrong advice purely for to gain incentives from tour operator

the worry thing elle_meg is some people could have received recommendations who to use where to go just so they get rewards and not received the truth, as in the title of this site holiday truths
Gosh, I had heard the name mentioned many times on here and always figured they were very reputable. Not saying they don't give good service but nowhere should require incentive giving in order to ensure favourable reviews.
i dont agree with this at all, as you say if they want cash back etc they arent going to put bad reports this sort of thing is totally wrong, think one of the chaps that run this site is a member on here too, his name is john tooney or something like that, maybe he should come on here and explain this
A bit odd to promote your discount scheme by insisting people write a review about you on other web-sites. Seems like some very cheap advertising. I had been thinking about using them myself if I went SC to Icmleler next year, as it was one of my options.
There are always incentives to people who help promote your business.

Then why don't you use that site to promote Gene as this site is supposed to be 100% independant, Hence why you promote them here as often as you can your actually gaining from it now getting something for the reviews you place.
No where in our campaign does it say the review has to be favourable to ICR. All we are doing is promoting both ICR and Icmeler.

No where have we said, Post a good report etc.
Objectivness is the key to our company here. We can improve our service and offer our customers something in return.
I have a feeling ICR may have scored an own goal here , given the good realtionship HT has always appeared to have with them.
Holiday reports are for all people to read and get an idea from and all we did is encourage our customers to go for it and do reviews on other sites for further publicity, whether the report is good or bad. We never said, you will award you for your good feedback etc!!!
We are not trying to score a goal here but obviously some people are obviously trying to score on us...and before i forget, jccarey: thank you so much for further advertising of our genuine publicity promotion campaign, how much incentive would you like then? I seriously do not believe this.!

I don't actually see the problem, offering customers loyalty rewards etc,won't be the first or certainly the last time that a company does that.
In rwb46s words I promote ICR at every oportunity.
You are insinuating I am gaining financially from telling the truth or not, in other words you are saying I lie.
You say I also gain from any reviews I place on the site.

i started this topic because some people might find it useful to know. not as a slanging match between people who use this forum,
i have used icr before and have friends who have and use them so i dont have a problem with them .i just found it strange that people would get rewards for leaving feedback

No i can't see how it can be biased, it's rather like a loyalty reward but I say again, Tell me where it says the reviews have to be in favour of ICR?

Your post leaves me puzzled as to it's deliverance onto HT, however we do thank you for taking the time to publicise our campaign for us
Just a little parting gift, one of our members Ichmeler girl posted this review on both HT and ICR and clearly stated there was a problem with her booking in her post.
Last year we used for the 1st time for out transfer ICR Travel- IcmelerOnline - http://www.icmeleronline.com from Dalaman to Ichmeler they collected us from the airport there was a mix up with our booking but this was sorted out immediately they got a taxi to take the boys and the girls shared a minibus with another family, we certainly wasnt stranded by no means there is a board with their name on it to go it. When we got to resort Sharon from the office sorted out the problems immediately and Rami arranged for a partial refund. The service despite the mix up was professional Rami is very hot on customer care too making sure that you are happy with the service received. Their were ice cold drinks provided which were included in the price I am going again in June and will definately be using them again
We have never said ICR is perfect, thats why reviews are so important to us, good or bad ones. The only way we can learn "what the customer wants" is through customer feedback
You say you have no problem with ICR and have travelled with them before. Obviously, you missed a point while travelling wit us. There is no playing around with us, we never take the back door and stand for everything we do. Most users on HT already know alot about us and our long time operations by now and proudly can say that we have been the company with the least amount of complaints through out all these years. Have lived up to our reputation and keep on working hard to continue. If we are not doing much wrong in serving you, then what is the problem of us wanting to publicise this? How does this hurt you? People could as well go on and give bad reports for us if we have done something wrong and this is our risk.
Over the years, i have learned one thing from the British friends and customers, (and esspecially from HT as I have been a member here for a long time)being open and speaking out. If they think something is wrong, they dont care what it is, they will go on and speak it out and report it. Isn't this what you have done as well? So, if I am not wrong in my analysis, if ICR had done something wrong, then it would already be on the internet (and trust me there must be some) and if not, here is the chance, tell the truth and get a reward. Yet if the reports are good, then as a consumer, what else could you ask for than having a good company by your side at a holiday destination you may favour??

a false statement, yes you are speaking out but you are giving a FALSE and bias information your self. And as far as survival..not even going to make a comment on this insult!
We said from the begining to the end, you must be an ICR customer, you must be objective, must be a genuine report. Sorry but we are not all that stupid to go public with a campaign on a site that gets thousands of hits daily to create question marks on people's minds. Obviously this campaign created question marks on some people's mind saying, like: hey ICR is buying people's good reviews - so obviously one would have to think that the people's opinions are for sale and for as cheap as 5-10 quid?? good one!
