I think it is the hotel near the sun village apora i had a look around it about 3 years ago and i did not like what i saw the pool was filthy and it did not look like any one was stopping there,it might have been done up since i would try and find some reports before you go.

If it is the one near to Sun Village, it was bought by an Englishman, I believe, and work undertaken to smarten it up, but I may be completely wrong!

There is a report on this hotel on tripadvisor it was done 2006 and they said it might be revampt.

I walked all the way round it last February, including the area round the back of the lake, and to be honest it looked pretty grotty.

I've heard that its owned by a couple from Birminham and its been overhauled.

Good spot - crap hotel; or it was when I last visited it. I wouldn't stay there. (If there is evidence that it has had a refurb then I might.) Do your research well.

Stayed there the 1st time I went to Goa six years ago. Seemed ok then. Your usual 2* Goan hotel.... Seen better, seen worse. If its cheap take it. Wouldn't stay there again, bit out of the way for me :) Ideally positioned for Mackies Saturday Night Market though

It used to be called Maizons Star. You might find reviews on other sites
