Hi Perfume

Yes seriously rain 4th October apparently it was the first time in 6 months just our luck, but we were out on a trip at the time so it didnt bother us too much, and for the rest of our week it was glorious sunshine and in the nineties. Ooh lucky you I have only just come back but am still jealous, you must really love the place, hope you have a brilliant time.

Help...... the hotel i am wanting to book has disappeared from the 2008 system.... dosn't even come up on accomodation only.....

same with portland...... do you think they are repricing.... it is in the hotels list, but have tried 10 dates and 3 different airports.....will it come back on.. or is another operator taking it on?

Thomas Cook also offer the Hemera. When we went a couple of years ago TC were the only operator that offered 1 and 2 bed apartments on AI rather than just the main hotel. Don't know whether this will be the case now that it's been refurbished though. The Hemera was also available previously with Airtours and Cosmos so you could try them too.

We had a great time there and would definitely go back one day. Hope you find what you are looking for!

I went to our Local Thomas Cook the other day to price the Hemera for next month only to find it closed and the staff were working in Going Places round the corner. They are joining forces on Wednesday officially and are all going to be working from the refurbished Thomas Cook.Maybe they are sorting out next years holidays and deciding whose website it is going to appear on.Why not see if it works out better value booking it direct with the hotel.

Hi Perfume

It was available this morning with Portlands as I was trying to price up a different hotel and for some reason it brought up the Hemera, but I have just tried it again and it does seem to have vanished, also find it strange that a holiday I priced up this morning has now gone up by over £100 in just a few hours. I would wait until tommorow perhaps they are having problems with their site.

Thomas cook are the cheapest now and they were nearly a £1000 cheaper than thomsons and portlands. Direct holidays, manos and cosmos does the hotel. Cosmos was the second cheapest @£3992 compared to the £3300 I have booked for.

I don't know why thomsons and portlands don't have the hotel coming up on their system. Maybe all the room they booked has sold out. I know the first 3 weeks in august thomas cook are sold out.

Why don't you give portlands a call.

What dates are you looking at. TC has free child places for most of june and early july and from the 24 august to 14 years old. Cosmas still free child places going.

The other thing with TC they are not giving a net discount anymore on the hemera.

I looked this morning and still nothing with portland and thomsons. Have you taken a look at thomas cook.

When the price jumped 40% it could of been because they had limited availability. The rooms available would of been shared by thomson and portland.

Just looked again and the hemera is back on thomsons and portlands system.

i booked the hemera with thomas cook about 6 weeks ago for may next year at a good price but i have checked for my son to book and there are no palces for the same week from birmingham for the 13th may .i have been to the hemera 4 times in 2 years , i think due to the popularity of the hotel now you will have to book early to get the deals as the rooms will be selling up fast so they will not have to offer deals... :D :D

Ive just priced the hotel from Newcastle for next May for 2 weeks, and its £1072 with Thomas Cook and £1600 with Portland! What a difference.

I booked for 26th august next year with thomas cook £3300, portland £4269. The same day and both are day flights, and I have paid the extra £75 for 20KG of luggage for all 5 of us. A difference of £969. The most expensive are direct holidays and manos but they depart 2 days earlier on a sunday.

I think if I booked a week earlier 19th aug with portland wants £4755 Thomas cook has sold out for the 19th aug but when I looked before deciding which date to book it was £700 to £800 more. What is left for the 19th are apartments and for my party it comes to £5958.

Thomas cook still have free child places for the 24th and 26th august from gatwick and luton on the 26th. I can't believe they are still there and they are only charging £25 per person deposit with no strings.

Anybody else going around the 26th august.

Hi,
I've just booked the Hemera with Thomas Cook flying from East Midlands in July 2008. It was much cheaper than Portland and better flights!
