City Star Airlines have surprised the bizarres with the announcement that they shall operate a Boeing 757 in a business configuration of about 50 seats only from Aberdeen to Houston USA four times a week. The airline who oerate a small fleet of turbo props Dornier 328's will fly the 757 from Jan' next year. No doubt geared towards the oil companies but nevertheless those ofyou with spare money in and around the area may consider this service as ideal! This announcement is likely to put a stop to the idea also from KLM who had drawn up a business plan for the same idea in principle, utilisig a B737 800 series most likely operated by Privitair. Nice one for Aberdeen should it get of the ground.

City Star Airlines have had one of their aircraft impounded at Aberdeen Airport. Another one of their aircraft is already grounded at the airport, following an accident on the tarmac in November.

However the inaugural flight was put back a few weeks ago so I'm not sure if that bodes well for the service.
