Firstly id just like to say we have visited resorts in the past where we were they only English speaking guests and never had a problem, although we werent the only Englidh guests at this resort it was a problem. The whole resort was centred arond there Russian, German,Polish guests and we were treated with disregard. We were ignored at the bars nobody ever said hello, good morning any form of pleasantry. Smiles were never returned. Infact they looked straight through you. Our children were ignored. My daughter and her 2 friends were stood on the grille right at the edge of the pool dancing to the music and were told not to do that because they might wet the floor. Silly petty things like that were driving me insane.
The food all week was the same for lunch and dinner and was bland. The extra restaurants that had to be resrved were like gold dust. We eventually booked into the Italian only to find it shut just like most of the bars and buffets because of the rain.
So after 3 full days of rain we headed for the indoor pool, jaccussi and sauna this kept us sane for a few hours. The indoor pool was tiny but thats fair enough, only when there is 336 rooms full in the place that means not everyone is going to fit. I cant understand why everything just shuts down in the rain apart from two bars, one with only 1 barperson the other only staffed by 2. I doubt many people would have managed more than 3 or 4 drinks on an evening.
We found we werent welcome and had been placed in the wrong resort
It just seems that after reading some reports many places welcome their Engish guests wouldnt it be better to just sell us these resorts and not were we are not welcome.
When the sun shines you can have a good time here the waterslides were loved by everyone the beach was lovely and it did have a choice of 5 pools just dont expect to be made to feel welcome.

I forgot to say in the first post that the other holiday makers were not the problem it was the staff. And i wasnt the only person there that had this problem it was the majority of English guests i say majority because i didnt speak to everyone but everyone i did speak to had the same problems. I suppose the staff may have been tired because it was end of season but i didnt pay £1300 for myself and 1 child to be treated so rudely for a week. I could have stayed with the ex mother in law for free lol. Thanks for all your advice its really appreciated. I didnt check it out before i booked because i didnt plan on having another holiday this year so it was very last minute, but i have certainly learnt my lesson.
at the Xanadu. The staff were great and treated everyone with the same friendly service. I dont think a 5* AI is a cheap option, and as for the Russians not having much money that was not the case in the Xanadu. Their wives (all very young and pretty) were dripping with designer clothes and handbags and sun glasses, not to mention the diamonds
