Thailand over New Years Eve

Hi folks, this is my first post here.

On a crazy wim, I booked a return flight to Thailand. I will arrive December 30th and Return January 17th.

I am single male and I will be travelling alone

I have not booked any accomodation yet. I am open to suggestions on where to go and any nice hotels to stay in, nice things to see, water sports, sight seeing trips etc.

I am young at heart and a beach, clubbing type of holiday would be a OK for some of the time. The odd beach paradise would be nice also

Thailands a big country you'll have to narrow it down for us as to the kind of thing you are looking for...serenity, lively, brash, country, city or beach. A holiday in Thailand can be all those things and all can be combined.

Its the busiest time of the year so accommodation can be tight in some resorts.

I was thinking maybe Pattaya for a few days over New years eve and then head down south towards Phuket or Ko Samui
