Hi Em
Can't speak much about georgyp haven't been but went to Stoupa 3 years ago in May and it is very nice but there's not much to occupy children in all honesty.Nice beach and good tavernas but very quiet.Weather at end of May, last year we were in Crete and we needed a light sweater or something just to take the late night chill off.Went to Stoupa at start of May and it was quite nippy at night then.

Went to georgie p 11 years ago, stayed at The Kavros Beach Hotel on all inclusive, lovely hotel, entertainment was great but the food was horrendous!,boiled eggs for breakfast, sandwiches wrapped in clingfilm for snacks etc,but what a lovely place. We went mid may, very hot in the day, couldnt walk on the sand for burning your feet, and the sea was lovely and warm, the evenings could be cool, but didnt always need a cardi,it was the worst place for mozzies Ive ever been to,but people have said its not so bad now,we loved it there and am considering going back, but not to Kavros Beach.Lake Kounas is lovely to visit,we went on the noddy train up to it,we also visited the British War cemetary with some friends who hired a car,not my scene I thought, but a day I will never ever forget,so touched,I think it was at a place called Sounas, something like that.I would recommend anyone going to hire a car, roads were quiet and some lovely places to see.

:sun2 :sun2 :sun2 Hi we,ve been to both within the last five years. We found Stoupa to be very friendly, safe beaches and excellent food. There are some nice apartments which will let you be really free but if you're thinking of hotels give the Stoupa Hotel a miss, we were put in there for one night due to a glitch with our accomodation and would rather have slept on the beach. GeorgeP also has some nice accomodation with a long safe beach. GeorgeP is better if you want to get about whilst Stoupa is down the peninsular so if you want to go far you have to get all the way back up first. We really enjoyed both and as an older couple perhaps Stoupa has the edge. neither are party places but both offer a great time. Hope your search goes ok.
