The Palace on Wheels for me too then, as a contrast, I'll take the Ghan down through the centre of Australia - I've criss-crossed Australia by Greyhound bus but I quite fancy the train.

I would fly first class everywhere, no more cattle class for me. and maybe a suite on the new airbus A380. I have to go on that plane.

Although I would like see some of the more exotic places I would not like long flights so my dreams are more of Europe.
Top of my list is a luxurious cruise the length of the Rhine and Moselle.
Next would be a visit to Poland. I have no connections with the country but my husband is a Coach Driver and he has more positive comments about the country than any other he has visited and that is most European countries in 30 years of touring.
Most of all I would like to have at least 4 holidays a year of 4 weeks each.
March /April: Poland
May/June: Norway/Sweden. (have done a winter tour of Norway)
August/September: Germany/Austria
October/November: Spain (usual holiday)

If money were no object, i would have my own megga fancy yacht and just sail around the world visiting everywhere i could think of and every so often jump overboard with scuba gear on to explore the worlds best dive sites. My yacht would be fully crewed, equipped with everything needed for scuba diving, have a helicoptor and pad aboard in case of emergencies and of course be big enough for my friends to come too!

Oooh yeah I would fancy that too.

I would also have mooring spots in fancy places like St Tropez and Puerto Banus.

Justval,

I think this is the boat (superyatch!) you're looking for - MV Attessa with it's own Eurocopter EC130B and full diving facilities! I photographed it while the owner was staying in Puerto Vallarta in March this year.

You'd need more than a lottery win to fund one of those though, it's about £100,000 a week to charter it!

Dazbo,

Hmmm very nice..and someone obviously dripping money out of every pore...still, it is nice to dream!!!

I think my yacht would have to have a compressor on board, service facilities for such things as regs, tanks, o rings that need replacing etc..and of course loads of wetsuits/semi dry's etc so that i would never have to put an already wet suit back on..there is nowt worse..i could have a dry one every time!!

I would also need satellite tv so that i could keep tabs on the football...and some way of monitoring the weather conditions so that i could choose where to go to next!!

That's only the beginning of what the Attessa has on board. I've heard it even has a chamber just in case and I've seen the RIB and other toys in the storage area under the rear deck. It has everything! I agree with you about putting a wet suit back on, there's nothing worse. It was horrible putting my drysuit back on yesterday after spending the morning in water at 4 degrees!! It was cold, damp and soggy. Just what you need to spend the afternoon in :sulk

If you do get yourself a boat like that, give me a shout. I'll crew it and be your divemaster!

Crikey, where do I start?
I think I would take a good three or four months to do my own RTW trip taking in some of the more expensive places on my (never ending, and always being added to) holiday list such as Nepal, Peru, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia & Brazil. I'd then finish somewhere such as Bali for some time to laze on the beach.
Oh and of course I'd stay at the finest hotels and fly everywhere first class.

Where to start with the list. Since I like F1, will have to be every F1 race of the season (18 races - give or take) & have grandstand seats/paddock tickets. Would also have to visit New Zealand, Japan, Argentina, Egypt, Malaysia (again). :D And do a really long visit to Spain & Italy. Should take me a while

The choice would be a hard one between a RTW stopping off in Australia and drive around the country for 6 months or 2 weeks at Blackpool and go on every ride on the pleasure beach.
:? :?
