My avatar is an image I have saved on my PC to display on the new HT site I had to do the following.

You need to visit a hosting site such as (http://load.imageshack.us/)

Resize on their site to Avatar setting

Upload your image to obtain an address to post on HT site

Copy and past the direct link address

On HT site

1. Log in

2. User control panel

3. Options = Profile = Edit Avatar

4. Paste direct link address from hosting Site

5. Save
