here are a few things for your information.
the club cubana, up until we left on the 15th dec, was not open. a licence has not as yet been granted. according to our taxi driver, sam, its because there had been a stabbing there, last season.
there seem to be lots of new beach shacks popping up all over the place oround baga and calangute, some of them must have licences!!
for those that like, or should i say liked? its no longer there!! coco beach i,m talking about!! a victim of the monsoons. all the sand has been washed away and the are only rocks to sit on. according to sam some of the shacks are still trying to brave it out there. but even the taxi drivers are not touting for you to go there!!
there are a few new shacks around the asvem and morgim area, one of which we went to several times, by the name of Pn's shack. a refugee of coco beach thats relocated. try the plain fried tuna steak, its making my mouth water thinking about it!!
Calangute beach by the steps!! worse than ever. there are more motorized water activities than ever. the smell of the petrol fumes can be noticed all the way up baga and candolim beaches, depending which way the wind blows. hence we went to the northern beaches more often this time.
a word about the airport to finish off. much improved i'd say. we seemed to get through much quicker than usual. with less checks and stamps.
hope you've all had a great chistmas, we wish you a happy new year.
best wishes BOBand HELGA
