Hi everyone
I read in a guide book that the evenings can be chilly, even cold in Goa. I am going to southern Goa in early February (can't wait!!) so is this really the case? I hadn't intended to pack anything other than very ligth stuff so will I need a sweat shirt or two?
Thanks Vickie
Enjoy your holiday
You definately wont need a sweatshirt but a pashmina or v lightweight cardie is a good idea especially if you go into restaurants/shops with the air con on full blast.
Thanks very much for the advice, that is just what I will do
The evenings are very warm. You may run the risk of climatising after day 10.
As for packing long sleeves - don't pack. Just wear what you have (trunks underneath obviously). You will be desperate for the the suitcase space for the return.
Trunks underneath ?
Really though. Everything is out there to purchase and so ridiculously cheap. My partner loved the clothes and was gutted she only took back 6 dresses.
So don't worry about taking or not taking anything for the evenings as you will want to buy stuff.
Some people get a bit chilly and a like to take one or two things with sleeves with them, even if it is just to put over your shoulders.
Not that ive been shopping for cardigans etc in Goa, but then ive never seen any for sale and I certainly wouldnt like to go searching for one if I felt a bit cold, much easier to pack one and take it with you.
Are the ladies clothes so gorgeous in Goa that you would want to wear them in the UK? Bags and shoes maybe, but IMO not dresses etc.
i always take a light cardi too because i sometimes get the shivers because of too much sun if you know what i mean! i know what you mean gemma - the first time we went i bought quite a few tops but to be honest i might have worn them once but then they were consigned to the back of the drawer.its just bags and shoes now.although i do like the pashminas too!
I always take a lightweight black cardi and a white one. I hardly wear them, they are just for over my shoulders. But when the AC is on full in some bars and restaurants it can get a bit cold (even although its still very warm outside!)
