My wife (Thai) never tips, as Thai's say ''up to you'' 100baht note (about £1.60)will not offend, plus you will have to pay the road tolls about 40baht, our hotel Taxi charged much more than the normal Taxi's so we would get the doorman to hail a taxi from the street for us or do it ourselves. hope that helps.
