we are going to marmaris in march as most of the turkey tourist towns will still be closed, also the weather in march can be dodgey. depends what sort of thing you are looking for , we have been a few times in march but purely cos i have family living there and enjoy a winter break. if i can help you any more let me know

We went to the Hemera in Side with TC in March 2005 and had a lovely time.We met some people who were there on a long stay holiday.The hotel is the best in Side and the weather was good but some say we were lucky.I would love to go this March but TC no longer fly from our local airport during the winter season.The hotel is only a 30 minute walk from the old town and every thing was open.Thomson often have the hotel on their website at excellent prices even though they dont use it as a package.Portland and Thomas Cook use this fab hotel.Have a look at the reviews.

The flights I have found are to Dalaman, but will not be booking them, we don't really want to go to that area so early in the year. ( not many hotel coming up either ) Fancied Side, but the flights are more expensive. Will probably see what come up in late deals nearer the time.

I would have suggested Side to you as well. Why not have a look at some of the great small hotels right in the Old Town. We have stayed there a couple of times, most recently at The Beach House Hotel, which as the name suggests, is directly on a small beach. We booked direct with the owners who also arranged our transfers. However, if the flights are coming out expensive, they are available through Thomson - Small and Friendly. You might get a decent package price.

I have found cheap flights for 19th Feb to Antalya. Will it be too cold in February? Not bothered about sunbathing, just pleasant enough for walks.
Have found two hotels which are reasonable, the Saray Regency and the Linda. Both in the Side area.
Should I go ahead and book or wait 'till later.

I stayed near to these 2 hotels the first time I went to Side 14 years ago.It is about 6kms from Side in Titreyengol.There is a lake here and the Sorgun forest.The Linda is on the beach and the Sarah near the lake.The area is popular with other Europeans but I found they were fine.I dont know what the weather will be like but wunderweather has the details of the last few year weather.This area is very clear on Google earth although Side old town is blurred.The hotel Hemera is available on 19th February for £285.I dont know how that compares with the price of these 2 hotels,but its a fab hotel and is only 30 minutes walk to Side old town.Its also got plenty of shops bars etc just outside.Its a much better area than Titreyengol and there are usually long stay guests here from the UK and other countries during the winter.We went in March 2 years ago and loved it.

Hi Jay, The price for the Saray Regency is £182 for two people AI, and the Linda is £140.33. The flights are £188 for 2, transfers with a2b £61. It works out really cheap.

I have found both hotels on google earth, and the area looks ok. but will have a look for the Hemera.

Booked it today. Staying at the Linda Hotel. Just hope it isn't going to freeze my tootsies off.

I would suggest April - Go to Side or Lara Beach, these resorts offer fantastic deluxe hotels at affordable prices and there are shops, bars and restuarants near by!

I would choose the AI option saves you money and is more ideal - bargains to be had on Thomascook.com 5* for 7 nights from £800 for 2 adults.

Try Side or Lara Beach.

When we went to the Hemara 2 years ago in March it only cost us £311 each for 2 weeks,but it was just before the Eclipse so maybe thats why we got a good price.The schools are off this April instead of Easter so there will no bargains unless you wait for a late deal.

I think Antalya has some good opportunities (beach, night life, shopping, history). I think £229 is very nice I calculated for one week holiday (2 april'08 until april'08) in 3 star hotel (Hotel Adalya) in Antalya inc.flights(cyprus airlines) total 350 paunds.
