Vejer is a lovely white spanish town with narrow cobbled streets. It's very hilly but has wonderful views.
It has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from but as it is still very spanish there are more traditional spanish restaurants and Tapas bars than anything else. It's definitely not a place for English breakfasts etc but that is part of it's charm.
A really good restaurant is the El Jardin del Calipha which is in the middle of Vejer next to the fountain and you go downstairs to it.
It's serves food with a morrocan influence but it has other food too and you can just visit for a beer or coffee. In the summer they serve wonderful icecreams too.
near Vejer is Bolonia which has a really well preserved Roman settlement, it's right beside a fantastic beach so is quite impressive and if you take your passport entry is free to EEC citizens.
