My son is now into bodyboarding so we are looking for somewhere in France with a nice campsite (not a tent) and it needs to be near a beach that is good for this sport. We have done Thompson alfresco before but I'm not sure where would be the best region to go for the same type of accomodation. We would be looking to go in August time and sailing from Plymouth to Rosscoff and driving down.

hello, my family and i went to brittany, france last july, and we stayed in carnac, which was quite a good base,we booked through key camps and stayed in a caravan on the les menhirs campsite! which we really enjoyed,i surfed with my daughter at location called quiberon which is located about 3 miles out of carnac, there was a choice of three or four beaches in that location, that were suitible and safe.no crowds and really clean beaches, was just like cornwall but less crowds!! but you will have to go further south to get consistant waves that time of year, unless you get lucky!! <or another summer like the last one!!>
Not sure where in the country you live but you could always get a cheap ryanair/easyjet flight to biarritz . Popular with the surfing set .
Cheers Papa Charlie
