Have you tried capeverdeexperience.com? or Portland. They both do Cape Verde but don't know about weddings. Denny

I can recommend Capeverdeexperience.co.uk as being far superior to any other tour operator I ever have travelled with, and there have been many ! Other than them, Thompson ( and sister companies like Portaland ) claim to be only major UK operator to CV.

Most of the hotels are very small but it might be worth researching the RIU Funana/Garopa complex which is big enough to organise weddings - not that we saw any in the 2 weeks we spent there in September.

Please be aware that it can be very windy during our winter - they hold kite-surfing championships there in February - not ideal when you are wearing a long floaty wedding gown ! But if you are thinking of a late summer wedding when the caribbean has hurricanes it is just breezy in CV.

Hi, thanks for replying and the advise given. I've checked out Thomson/portland, but they dont do weddings in Cape Verde (at present).
I will look at Capeverdeexperience.co.uk and see if they do. Thanks for that link.

In hindsight perhaps maybe cyprus would be a more suitable choice, as they cater for weddings on a large scale and have some lovely settings in the less busy resorts.(and.... we have some elderly relatives and the flight time there will be better perhaps, and not so windy!!!)

Cape Verde flight ca 6 hours ex LGW, Cyprus ca. 4.5 so would be a shorter flight. CV ex MAN ( CVexperience - Astraeus ) longer return flight as they stop to refuel in Faro, Thomsons probably direct both ways.

When are you thinking of getting married ( which month ? ) it may be similar costs to go to caribbean ( Dom Rep or Cuba ) and much more reliable weather in Nov - April ! They certainly have weddings well and truly sorted.
