does anyone know of any inclusive hotels right on the beach with a beach bar. any country or area as i am just doing some research for 2009. all sugestions welcome

Dave, in my experiene, most of the AIs that I've stayed in have a beach bar, or one very close, and many have "waited on " service on the beach, although this can be a little variable... be prepared for plastic glasses at most resorts...

Fiesta Hotel Don Toni in Playa Den Bossa, Ibiza, is right on the beach and has a beach bar.
Don't know if you would class it as an AI hotel though as you have to actually upgrade to AI on arrival.

Try the Marriot or InterContinental in Taba Heights, Egypt. Great deals and beautiful setting. you can see 3 countries from the beach - Israel, Jordan and Saudi. Any yes perfectly safe. Been going now for 10 years and never any trouble.
The Magic Life Seven Seas Imperial in Side, Turkey, booked through Thomson is very AI (inc safe, banana boats, waterskiing) and has a beach bar doing food and drinks as well as pool bars at each pool and waterslides.
Hotel Club Portinatx in Portinatx on the north part of Ibiza.Private beach(Its small but with sand and a seating area and a BAR!!)Quiet resort though but great relaxation holiday and spectacular beaches within walking distance.Best selection of drinks from all AIs i have been on too.Ssx
The best beach bar I have seen on my travels is the Club Turban in Marmaris(nearer to Icmeler).Its a decked area with huge cushions to lay on and great chill out music.
Small beach bar at the Riu hotels in Bahia Mamon, Dominican republic. Loved this resort.
