We used it in September, but we were flying in from LA on Southwest Airlines after flying Virgin to LA. I might be wrong here but I think you will find that if flying in from the UK, you will need to transfer terminals in order to do this and it might be a bit more hassle than you would want.
For us it was a brilliant facility. My Wife went off to the baggage reclaim and I just did the check in. No queues, hotel keys, vouchers, maps etc all given to us by a very friendly lady.
Outside to the taxi and within 10 minutes, we were in our room. The queues at check in at the hotel itself (Saturday early evening) were horrendous so we felt quite smug about it.
Fantastic facility, but check the terminal situation.

Yes, if you are flying non-stop from the UK you will land at Terminal 2. The MGM check in is at Terminal 1.
However if you have a connection in the US before then flying to Vegas you will land at Terminal 1.
