I am also going to Vegas on 24 April for 12 nights! Who are you flying with and where are you staying?
We went at that time 3 years ago and have been the first 2 weeks in May the last 2 years.
The weather was pleasantly warm and I had shorts and T-shirt on most of the time. It was cooler at night if I remember, but I think I had my shorts on till midnight one day. It was definitely sunbathing weather and was too hot for me last year as it hit the 90's. However the weather can vary from year to year and it can be cooler.
I'll be taking the usual shorts, T-shirts, vest tops, a couple of cardis that I don't normally need to wear. A jacket for night, but I really could get away without one.
That is my experience over the last 3 years, but be aware that it can vary.

We are flying from Manchester, with BMI, and staying at the Excalibur!
Its our first time so really looking forward, thought it would be quite cool that time of year, but the warmer the better as far as im concerned!!
We have found it warm to hot (for us) at that time of year and think it is a great time to go before the scorching heat of midsummer when temps are over 100 each day. It's a very dry heat and so is different from Europe, but I find it more bearable with the low humidity.
We were there the first week of November and I even had shorts on then as it was so nice.

I went in April last year and it was red hot... does anyone know what the weather in Vegas over xmas is it warm or cold????
From what I've read elsewhere it is pretty cold December/January. They've actually had snow flurried there and a light covering on the strip, although it only lay a couple of hours.
sounds like the weather will be perfect!
(you may have made a mistake telling me that you have been before though-i will probably be bombarding you with questions now!! :)thanks
Any further questions then fire away. However many of them may already be answered on the forum. If you use the Search facility at the top of the page and put in Vegas or whatever your query may be, you should get plenty results. However it doesn't seem to be working at the moment and we're looking into it so try later or perhaps tonight.

Just one question if you dont mind, with the visa, will we be given that on the flight or so i have to get one beforehand? (Last time i went to the US was a package holiday and that was given i the flight)- many thanks
Thanks for that, my bikini will have to stay at home... which airport are you flying from to fly direct with BMI???
Im flying from Manchester-think that's the only one they fly direct from?
You will probably get the Visa Waiver form and Customs form at check in. That's where we've got them from bmi the last few times.
Make sure you have the correct address for your first night's stay, ie the hotel's address including Zip code. You should get it on their website. If you don't complete the form properly they may send you to the back of the queue.

Have a look at Weather Underground.... scroll down to History and Almanac and you can find out what the weather has been for the dates you are interested in.
Also went 15th- 26th December and most of the time it was cold but mostly the the sun was out and the sky was blue so after the uk weather it was very nice and it was a much more reasonable temperature indoors than in the summer when its boiling outside and freezing inside.
