went to Baba last year, was really good..Am planning to go back this year again Beach bar is still there..
Excellent. Thanks for that Julie. The only downside to our holiday was the hassling outside the restaurants and shops. As It was our first time in Turkey we weren't prepared for it and although we did get used to it, we got a bit fed up of saying no thank you in the end. What time of year did you visit and did you experience this competing for trade as we did. Our holiday was in 2002. maybe it's not so bad there now
We went in August 07,hassle was not too bad,not as bad as when we were in marmaris a few years ago...Would def recommend the Baba.
Hi Julie! My daughter's just booked the Baba for a week in June. It's their first visit, so they're not quite sure what to expect. When my sister was there they used to play one restaurant off against the other and always got a freebie - be it some garlic bread or a bottle of wine. Does this still work? Can you browse in shops or is there too much hassle. The OH and I went to Egypt for a few days a couple of years ago , and the hassle around areas like the pyramids was horrendous. They would follow you down the road for a 100 metres and more. It really put us off going there for a main holiday. Is it as bad in Gumbet? Any exceptional restaurants or bars etc? Thanks
Not to sure about the restaurants as we went half board,Hassle is not too bad ,they def don't follow you down the street...The clubs we went to were bar x and shakers..Would def recommend the baba boat trip..Very good value for money excellant day out.
Thanks Julie will pass the info on.
