Hi Emso, if you look further down the forum to 'where to go!!!!' you will see that we have booked the Linda Hotel Side Feb. 19th It will be our first winter holiday in Turkey, so can't tell you what there will be to do etc.
Haven't been in Feb but went to Belek in November last year, warm enough to sunbathe during the day but very very cold at night. As you say there is loads going on the hotels, entertainment, disco, bowling, bars , indoor swimming pool and certainly better than being here in Feb. Have a great time. Denny
have you thought about Egypt.... Sharm is a little bit warmer... although you should get sum sunny days in Feb, there is a risk of rain....
So come and have a great time but pack some woolies. Belek has little to do in the winter...Side is better...and of course Antalya is best of all
its because of a holiday to egypt that i have just canx (due to building work) that i am now looking for alternatives.i can rebook an egypt holiday for around £1600 AI for 4 of us or come to turkey for around £800 AI , its a tricky decision
I love Turkey, but I've been there in January and it is cold, cold, cold and wet, Feb is prob a bit better but if it was me I would go for Egypt in Feb, especially if you are taking children.
The reason Turkey is so cheap at time of the year is the weather.
Last winter was brilliant we only had about four days rain. This winter we have had about 10/12 days of rain and we have had bright and sunny weather most of the time, with temps around 18 degrees in the sun and some days 20. At night the lowest we have had is about 5 degrees and average about 8 So you will need warm clothing in the evenings. THAT SAID if it does rains here it really rains and it can be miserable, also if the wind comes from the North it can feel very nippy. And I like anyones else cant garauntee the weather. One thing we do benefit from here is that the mountains to the west and north means that most of the regions rain falls on them and not down here, we tend to get heaviest rain when the wind is from the south (off the med sea).

In most of Feb the weather is hot enough to have a nice holiday in antalya. I have visited Sorgun last year and was superb... I prefer the hotel blue waters club which is in Sorgun. I have used Elit Car Rental for transfer from Airport. Their service was perfect too. If you need any information you can visit elitcarrental.com bluewaters.com.tr
As A note there were at least a dozen people sunbathing yesterday on the beach near my office.
thanks for the info, but i have now rebooked a aholiday to egypt
