There is a post here about this http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=110019 I believe with TC taking over Mytravel some hotels have been dropped and this is one of them. Nothing to worry about.

thanks for the link but i see no mention of this hotel. it could be the same reason those have been removed though.

i think panorama do the le meridien makadi bay - they are part of thomas cook now,and i think its in their brochure.it isnt one of the red sea chain so i'm sure you will be fine.

i have booked with panorama its just that if i search for holidays on their site now or any my travel site it does not come up after april no matter what date i put in. it can't be full so i think they may have pulled out.

I know you said that you dont want to contact Mytravel in cas eit opens a can of worms. But in view of how they seem to be handling the merger it might be better if you do contact them just to put your mind at rest.

As a previous poster said Le Meridien isn't part of the red sea hotel group, so the terminated contract with them can't be the reason they have withdrawn it.

Well to put your mind at ease, it is still bookable via Medhotels or Travelrepublic well into 2009 and i'm sure many more as well. So the hotel is still there trading. I'm sure it's just part of there rationalisation but a call might be a good idea :)

like you we booked last August to go in June 2008, after reading your post we made a few enqiuries. We started by phoning Going place/Panorama, we got the expected answer which was, Dont know why we have stopped doing that hotel but you should be ok. We were in town at lunchtime so we popped in to Going places and picked up the Panorama brochure, Le Meridian is still in there so we made enqiuries about booking it for June. The woman got back to us and said unfortunately the hotel is no longer available after April. I just hope they do not try and poke us at the last minute so we sent them an e-mail expressing our concerns, they have not replied yet but at least we have a record of contact. By the way they have already changed our flights we now fly with Monarch. :que

colin, please let me know if you hear back. they have changed our flight too. we now fly with thomas cook and an hour earlier. i e-mailed for a new invoice as on the web site it states we should have recieved one after the merger which we did not. the new one came with several mistakes on it. i phoned them and after the 3rd day of trying and being in a queue for more than 40mins i got through. i am still waiting for the corrected invoice!

ali781 we also spent ages on the phone with them, the reason we sent the e-mail was to have a hard copy back up, but as expected so far no reply from them, will post if we ever get a reply.

i e-mailed day before yesterday about new invoice, recieved a reply yesterday and promised new invoice within 7 days!
i used the online enquiry through my travel.com
