We like the Vistamar or its sister Paraiso 10

Hi Helen. Have you looked at Alpha Rooms?
Some hotels are priced at under £150 each and quite a few are on the flat, i.e Orange, Pelicanos or Venus, or EvaMar apts for just £70 each.

We stayed at Torre San Diego on Calle Gerona last October.
Pro's. Absolutely on the flat. I don't do hills either.
Near to all the Cabaret Clubs, Zodiac, The Town, Stardust Palladium and many others.
Immaculately Clean
Good comfortable beds
Full size cooker, fridge, washing machine.
Cooking utensils were good quality (not that I cooked much)
Helpful Reception and cleaners
Easy walking distance from the Beach
I have walking difficulties but relatively easy to Indoor Market or Old Town.
Two balconies with different aspects.
Cons. Towels were hopeless and not on par with rest of fittings.
Take your own.
Slight noise fron Discos/Clubs at night but not likely to be a problem at this time
of year, especially as balcony doors are probably shut at this time of year.
Part time Reception. If you arrive out of their hours you go to other Apartments to pick up your keys
When we were there there there were no English TV chanels but I see they are now advertising some
Sky Chanels.

All in all I could thoroughly recommend these apartments and will return. If you know Benidorm they are almost opposite KFC and beween the Ambassador and the Marina. We booked through Benidorm Spotlight and had no problems whatsoever.

Good Luck

Helen

I would say the Gemelos 23 Apts on Gerona. We stayed there in July 07 on the 1st floor in a 2 bed apt. They are directly above Jumping Jacks and across the road from the Winning post. Wasn't as noisey as i expected for that time of year so Feb should be fairly quiet. Not the biggest apt we've stayed in but were spotless and comfortable with aircon/heating. Not many websites do these apts and the one we booked with last year no longer list it. I was searching about the other day for our holiday this year and came across it. I,ll have a search if you cannot find it and post the link

Thanks for all your suggestions I'll pass them on. I've got my sister on the same mission tonight, so hopefully by tomorrow we'll have sorted something. Having never been there myself it's great to have help from all you "regulars"

Helen ... although perhaps not particularly steep, it may be worth noting that the Vistamar and Paraiso 10 (mentioned above) are in fact on an incline, about 800m from the seafront, with perhaps 700m of that being a gradual incline from Calle Gerona. Some may find that more of a problem than others, depending on age and any mobility issues.

Thanks for all your replies. My sister booked for them last night at the Primevara Dos. I've looked at some revies this morning and they're a real mixed bag. Has someone stayed here recently, as I don't want them landing up in a dump. Thanks once again.

Hi Helen ... Primavera Dos (not to be confused with Primavera Park) has been mentioned a few times in various self catering topics, you should be able to find those posts via Search. Alternatively, please feel free to post separately about the complex, as you may not attract much feedback specifically about it under this topic and heading.

sorry to here that you have booked, have stopped many times in various hotels just came back yesterday, again from the "hotel los dalmatas" 4 star lovely food and very good entertainment for the older person.6 of us went (aged 50 to 55) allthough we prefered to go out and about in the evenings the concert room was full every night and many we spoke to returned year after year. its position is 2 min from the promenade and well suited to anyone with walking difficulties. its only slight downside is the 2 lifts which are slow when the hotel is busy but personally no problem to us on the lower floors.
the cost of transport from airport used to put many off organising their own flight/stay, a taxi each way around 60 euros.
the shuttle buses dropping every one off at different hotels taking longer to drop some off than it took to fly from uk . but now catch the bus at airport to the new bus station for a few euros and just get a taxi or local bus to your hotel.with "travel republic" flights and 6 nights h/b £151 per person cheap has chips i'd say.!!!!
