Don't worry about not finding it! Silloth isn't a big place. The biggest place caravan park in Silloth is the Stanwix Holiday Park ( http://www.holidayparkscumbria.co.uk )

As for meals, Cumbria has some great places but it all depends how far you want to travel. Do try some of the local villages as you find them great value for money!

In Cockermouth, there is a pub that you can get a main course and a pint for under a fiver!!!

Its packed by 11.30 every Saturday!

Just had a phone call the name of the place we are staying is Solway Holiday Village - which is holding a two day football tournament at May Bank Holiday weekend. Ever heard of this place?

We stayed at Stanwix Holiday Park last July, (camping) The resort itself is lovely. As for bars, I can only really remember seeing 2, 1 of which was a hotel/bar/restaurant. There may be more, but may be more hidden. Slinky

Don't know it personally but I've passed it many time when I've been in Silloth. Again, you can't miss it as it's on the main road into Silloth.

One bit of advice.....take something warm! Even on the best of days, Silloth can be a bit breezy.

Was planning on packing for all weathers - nothing worse than standing on the touchline at football - freezing to death in a short sleeve t shirt !!
