:) We're planning on going at the begining of April for 17 days (thats me and the OH), it will be hot and humid and a lot of the tourist will have gone by then but there will be a lot of Goa to see and great people to meet, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
I would recommend air conditioning though.

Yes it's hot but it's no hotter than you get in the Med during the summer. But you definitely need a/c for the night as it does get humid.

Hi! This will be our third visit to Goa in April. (school hols). Never been at any other time so can't compare but we are certainly not put off by the humidity. Never had air-con there either, always managed with the room fan. If you can get air-con...great! but if not I'm sure that you will be fine. A wonderful holiday destination, just don't worry about dolling-up. Dress light and casual, don't be concerned about loads of make-up or high maintenance hairstyling. Nobody cares!! Have fun. Fantastic. Thanks for all the replies. Looks like the fears are unfounded.

Maybe see you all there!

april goa,

a different view for you...we were there november to end april 06/07 - and we wouldn't go back in april, unbelievably humid, the sort where when you're out of the shower and dried off, you need ac otherwise you'll need another shower!

on a positive note, there did seem to be fewer taxis than earlier in the season (don't worry though there isn't a shortage!) and some of the shacks will start to be dismantled - think the last charter going back to the uk is usually around the 20th april, so your timing should be ok.

also, if you like your music, then the big chill weekender should be on again this year at ashwem - went last year and it was excellent.

Hi,

We went April last year and found it not unbearable, going back this April too. Just make sure that your hotel has good aircon in your room, careful in sun and have a ball.......................... :tongue

Hi, i went in April a few years ago, we didnt have air conditioning, only ceiling fans, and we found it bareable.

You get a sea breeze so we spent our days at the beach, evenings we didnt find too bad, but it was very humid at night.

My little lad didnt have any problem sleeping, and he was 3 then.

We went in Jan this year and found it a bit windy at night.

Hi

We went in April last year and although its hot and humid its not that bad after a couple of days, just oil up and relax. The wind on the beach does cool you down a bit but if not just sit in a shack for a while :cheers :hot
