Hi Peter... we stayed in Fuergirola which it has loads of bars and restaurants and is a very lovely place... It was flat so walking would not be a problem for anyone...

We caught the bus into Bendalmadena this was more hilly but this also had a good selection of bars and restaurants...

Thanks curlylocksm and christine w, there is 4 of us going in Apr/May for a weekend, to have a look around, probably stay in Benalmadena as it looks quite central on the map and then for a week in Sept, Peter

Benalmadena is very nice and like you say cental. The Marina is great for a night out or a walk around during the day. We have stayed at the Bali hotel, food was great, each night there was entertainment on if you like staying in the hotel. If you like to eat out there is a great selection of restaraunts around. A lovely place is the other side of the Marina at La Carhiela, lots of resaraunts and it still retains a lot of its Spainish charm.

Benalmadena is more central,and the bus service is easy to use for around 1 euro 15 cents each way,to Fuengarola,Malaga and torromolinos.High season it runs 24 hrs
