We stayed in Fig Tree Gardens Apts in Pernera a few years ago(next to Tsokkos Gardens) and there was a scooter hire place right across the road which rented cycles as well.I know this isn't particularly helpful to you since you are in Protaras but if all else fails it's actually not far to walk on the coastal path.Protaras itself isn't hilly although there is a bit of a climb coming out of Pernera towards Protaras.I don't think there's a cycle path anywhere and if I remember correctly Ayia Napa to Protaras is pretty much an uphill climb.

Thanks for that dav. We are used to uphill climbs where I live, being down in the Derwent Valley, so hopefully it won't be as steep as at home. :D

The main road from Kapparis, Pernera to Protaras is fairly flat and has a wide cycle path. The only slopes are down towards the sea. Once you leave Protaras towards Ayia Napa the road climbs steeply onto Cape Greko. There are numerous paths over Cape Greko that you can cycle on! From Cape Greko to Ayia Napa ????? There is a coastal path however, the last time I saw it you wouldn't have wanted to cycle on it!
