I'm off to the Reef Oasis Blue Bay for two weeks at the end of June.
If we go AI we like to book a great one, so the food is good. But we still like to eat out a little too.
Is there a must do restaurant in Sharm?
If any of you have been to Turkey I mean somewhere like the White Dolphin in Olu Deniz or to stay on the Bodrum peninsular you have to have a meal in Gumusluk. Restaurants you HAVE to visit if you are in the area.
So does Sharm have a MUST DO restaurant?
Somewhere iconic or with a fab-to-die-for-view?
Ideally must have sunset view!
Thanks
How are you? - I don't go to sharm until after you but have been told that the restaurant at El Fanar (Ras um Sid) has good food and great views

I enjoyed both the tamtam restaurant in naama bay, and also (sadly) the Indian restaurant by Camel Divers
I've had a peek BUT most of them seem to looking for good value for money.
I'M NOT, I'm looking for a must visit restaurant regardless of cost (within reason! around say £30 per head for 2 courses without drinks).
So regardless of cost (within reason) is there a "must do" restaurant in Sharm?
I've forgotten where you are staying, but there is a really nice restaurant called 'El Fanar' which I think is arabic for 'The Lighthouse', but it's at Ras um el Sid.
It's not so much that it's got a good view, but that it's all done up inside like a posh bedouin tent. Never seen anything like it really.
If you are going for a fortnight it might be worth getting a cab there one evening as it's a bit different.
It's quite expensive for Sharm, but in the price range you mention. If you google it you should get it's web-site.

The Marriott Italian is also lovely and Fleur at Jolie Ville but quite expensive but very nice.
On the Deck at the Lido in Naama is also lovely as the water is lit up at night and you can watch the fish beneath you.
..meant to have said The Mexican in Naama is also very good.
We have been to Olu Deniz a couple of times and love it. Also have been to The Dolphin restaurant so know what you are looking for. Last August we werefirst timers for Egypt and stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Naama Bay. Was a great holiday. You must go to Naama Bay its great for a night out. We ate out every night so tried most of them. Very safe and so many bars and restaurants. Do walk along the promenade - where you will find many really good bars and restaurants. I wouldn't recommend the Tam Tam for food.!
The best Italian was in the Movenpick hotel up an escalator at side of the hotel.
For that special view - I would suggest the restaurant at the Lido Hotel. Its right at the end of
Naama Bay up a slight hill. You can walk there its not far from main promendade. The restaurant is on a deck completely surrounded by the sea and its lit up. Very romantic and has very good food. You can see the fish swimming all around you below.
We loved it so much we decided that next time we would stay at the hotel Lido.
Hope you have a wonderful time.

I think you will have a job finding a pricey resturant in Namma bay, been there twice, and its so cheap to eat, going back this sept and will be visiting the Lido!
cheers

So does the lighthouse (or 'El Fanar').
& perhaps the hard rock cafe, just coz it seems to be a bit of a landmark in Sharm.
Oh & a fish lunch at the Sinai Star, its sounds the place to go for a seafood platter & a cheap lobster!!
We are staying AI at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay, which I believe has about 5 different restaurants to pick from.
