We are going on a 2 centre in June Tolo first week with the second week at Chrani on the Messian peninsula of the Pelelponese.
Tolo for the first week we know as have been 4 times but Chrani is new.
Anyone stayed in Chrani or can give any advice as I cannot find any web sites or messageboards on it
Hi - this is a link to a great message board if you post on the forum for Pilia you should get some replies
old version of the Zorbas board, you will find some information.

We went a number of years back but I don't believe the place has changed too much. It's a much quieter place than Tolon. If you hire a car, there are some interesting places that can be explored from there - Methoni, Koroni, Pylos and Finikounda - we even visited Mystras and Olympia from there.
If you seach for Chrani on the http://www.zorbas.de/scripts/punbb-1.0.1/index.php

Correction: is not Messian peninsula but Messinian.
But, before you drive all the way down from Tolo to Chrani, ask a local Tourist Police Station if the village still exists after the fire disaster of last year.
Also, while in Tolo do not miss Nafplio, one of the most erotic cities in Peloponnese, especially the old part of the town and take a walk at "Arvanitia", also, visit the castles of Palamidi and the prison of the greatest Hero of 1821 revolution against Turks, also ask one of the guides what the Turks did to their Albanian co-fighters when they run out of food.
Akronafplia was another ancient castle which was used as prison for communists during Metaxas dictatorship (1940). All prisoners were executed by German SS during WWII occupation - thanks to the ministry of justice that didn't liberated them after the invasion even they asked him to send them at the borders to fight Italians and Germans.
Also, Palamidi, a small castle on a very small island at the port's entrance which was used by the executioners for living
Also, do not miss a visit at Ellinikon Pyramid, close to Argos, on of the very few that exist in Greece, uknown to most Greeks! It was mentioned by Pafsanias but in our days is forgotten, even the school books do not mention it.
In case you want to find informations about Chrani, copy-paste this greek word at Google for a search - ΧÃÂÂÂάνοι
Thanks Skyllis
The Greek for Chrani will be very useful on Google.
BTW I have a picture of Bourtzi in Napflion as my desktop wallpaper now as I got fed up with the picture of the small island in Tolo bay with the church I had before. The walk up to Palamidi is something else. Don't know about 1,000 steps the Kosmar reps always tell you about it was a hard climb.
Chrani had better still be there or Sunvil will be hearing from my lawyers.
Hi, Kobrien, I guess you've looked at my pages on Virtual Tourist? Make sure you read the tips. This site won't let me put a link to it on. Go to Virtual Tourist, put in Khrani (it's the spelling the site would recognise) and look at nickandchris's page. It's a lovey little place.
I found that site once by surfing around but could never find it again.
I have saved it into my favourites this time.
Getting nearer to June all the time, even have to pay balance by 20th April.
Can't wait for my first Ouzo, Iced coffee etc
