We buy ours from the £1 shop and leave them behind at the end of the holiday. I've also had them from Asda for 97p. Not sure if you'd be able to get plain cheap lilo's at this time of the year - maybe April-May onwards.

I looked in my local ASDA on Sunday for the very same thing and they're not in stock yet.

What are they like from there. I mean, well hubby would prob use it and well...he wont want it to sink!

:rofl They're not heavy duty but they are ok for a holiday.

We have a villa in Spain that we rent out and I like to provide pool toys. we have a pretty high turnover because of the heat so I never want to pay much!

Last year I bought quite a few from ASDA. Crocodiles, boats etc. they were much cheaper than they are abroad and they lasted all summer.

I find lilo's are usually the first to go but for 97p.....

Hi Boots

Could not really see the quality of them as they were packaged, I think even if you bought a couple for a pound and one broke etc, you wouldn;t lose out too much, they are quite flat as well so wont take up much room

Some of the ones we've had from the £1 shop have deflated on the first day, others have stayed "firm" right through the holiday. We have always found that once our cheap ones have deflated, there'll be someone at the hotel who is going home and leaves theirs behind anyway

I always buy my lilo on holiday already inflated too much like hard work blowing the thing up. Always buy cheapest and fingers crossed that it lasts! CBG

We got a lilo from pound shop 4 years ago and its still going strong (Katie loves the colour so makes us bring it home every year - how tight is that). We have a new poundland opening very soon can`t wait to see what other `inflatables` they have for this summer.

I think supermarkets will do them in season, but I got a luxury one like the one below. It's a bit more expensive, BUT, it's extra big (great for my husband over 6' tall) and I've had it three years and counting.

Hi all.

Like most of you, I use the the Asda lilo's and have been doing so for a few years.Normal price is about £1 but if you buy them at the end of the season (as I did) you'll get them for about half of that. They are good quality for the money.
