Within an hour of where we live we have Coventry, Birmingham, East Midlands, Luton and on a good day Heathrow too. We've also used Gatwick and Stansted. We've flown from East Midlands several times, the next time being next month when we go to Goa, and it is without a doubt the best one out of all them!
Easy to get to, great facilities, easy parking both on and off-airport and if you are getting a taxi, which we often do, they can park right outside arrivals so no lugging your cases for miles after a long flight.
Have a good hol!
Whilst 4 is the closest you may be lucky and get on, out of the last four times I have flown from EMA I have made it once, 123 are very close and I have found to book them very reasonable compared even to off site.

Can you specify which car park you want, or do you just get what is available when you arrive? Thanks
I am afraid you have to park where you can in 123or4 , 4 always seems the most popular in the medium stay group.

You drive in to the carpark entrance to the ticket dispenser which will say if the particular car park is full, as I said earlier I would prefer to be on 4 but it has been full on three of the last four times I have flown( You have to reverse out), but the last time there were spaces and I parked just inside the entrance, but that was at four o clock in the morning. You will always be able to park on 123 but sometimes a little further away, but really no problem.

Thank you, thats great. Just hope its not raining!!!
HI, another daft question I`m hoping someone can please help me with.. this will be the first time we have ever booked parking at an airport. Our flight from Sharm is due to arrive back at East Midlands at 22.05... could anyone please suggest about what time I should book the car park until. I was thinking of putting 23.55 latest time it will allow then it will give me just under 2 hours to get luggage and also allow a bit for a slight delay.
Also just wondering what happens when you pre-book the car park at a reduced rate and then the flight is delaysed by quite a while - is it a lot extra to pay because of course you wouldn`t have booked this... hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Most airport car parking facilities monitor the incoming flights and can see any delays.
They usually give you a number to call for pickup which you ring AFTER you have colllected your luggage and cleared Customs. They should tell you at drop off where the pick up is from as it may not be the same place so make sure to ask.
Not sure what happens if you are delayed and into another day by the time you're picked up. I think the most you'd have to pay is one day's parking. It may be worth calling them up to clarify as I'm sure a lot of members would be interested in the answer.

Hi luci
I have the answer to my query. Just rang the car parks number and spoke to a very helpful man.
It seems they allow you a leeway of approx 6 hours after your booked collection time for delays, after that then you would pay for another day.
Hope this helps others.

Thanks for the update. No doubt different facilities will have different rules.
Our flight landed at 1.20am and we had to pay for that day's parking. That was the time it was due to land.

just a quick tip if you are booking for east mids car park on a weekend have a look to see if anything is happening at donnington park and book for car park 7 which is cheaper as this car park is sometimes used for donnington park so you get moved to one of the closer car parks. this happened to me last year.

flying form east midlands easter next year, we have never flown from there before and wonderd if all car parks have transfer buses, or if you have to make your own way only we will hav a young child with us/
Hi, I booked last weekend for the 22nd May, via the carpark link on the airport website. We have booked carpark 1,2,3 or 4 not sure till we arrive but they are all within walking distance of the termainal building. I got the best quotes off them.
Hi
Car park 4 was shut last week as they look like going to be doing some kind of work in there. We parked in 1 and it was only a 2 min walk from airport.
