Hi Judith:

We got electronic visas from

http://www.australia-visa.net

It was £7 each and was dealt with within the hour!

On the email that they sent me, it said this:
Your ETA Visa is ELECTRONIC and is electronically stored on the Australian Governments database.
This document shows that you have applied for and received a valid ETA Visa for the sole purpose of entering Australia within the applicable conditions associated with this visa. This document is NOT an authority to enter Australia and cannot be used in such a manner. It is not required at airport check in nor for arrival in Australia as all of your details are stored electronically against your passport number.
You MUST present your PASSPORT when you check in at the airport where it will be scanned by the check in person and you will then be allowed to board the plane.

Suggesting that no actual document is given, but that the visa number is stored on the databse with passport numbers!

The first time I went the travel agent got me the Visa. Last time my travel companion obtained them for us both.
I had lost the web site address for where to apply. Thanks for providing it.
