Was it Candolim Boys Home you visited? If it was, ive been there, and yes its very humbling but the boys are fantastic. Plan to take some stuff to them again in March.
Thanks
Its fantastic that you want to help, anything - no matter how little, is greatly appreciated.
Talk to you soon
(Sorry Jazz for highjacking your thread)
Great thanks Gemma
Couldn't fault the holiday at all. Really can't wait to go back.
glad you enjoyed your holiday jazz. nice to see some positive response amongst all the dome and gloom, that's been posted lately. andy
I will second that Andy!!!
Gemma, we couldn't find the boys home in Candolim, we asked around and no one seemed to know where it was. We went to the boys home after the Rainbow House about 20 mins drive from Calangute.
I don't know where all the doom and gloom has come from, we had such a fantastic time, what's 100 rupees for a taxi?? nothing! Everyone has moaned but when it's cheaper to fly to Spain with Ryanair in comparison with getting a taxi 20 miles away in England - something is wrong here not in Goa!

I agree with you, Goa is still a fantastic cheap destination.
Some people will never be happy no matter how cheap someplace is, its the way of the world, and they are entitled to their opinions. Has no effect on me whatsoever as I will continue to go, and will only stop going when I decided I am fed up with the place.
Must admit tho I get a big fed up with certain people going on continuously about the same things all the time, its all negatives and very seldom any positives.
As i always say, its only what you make it, enjoy the place, the people and everything the place has to offer, take your watch off and leave it in the room for 2 weeks and just please yourself what you do, where you go and enjoy every minute, your holiday will go all to quickly, dont waste it dwelling on the bad points, ENJOY !!
agree with you 100 percent jazz. i just cant understand some people moaning about 100 ruppees in a taxi!!. i travelled with ryanair to spain in october and it was cheaper for me to do that than it was to get a return ticket from manchester to birmingham for the day on the train , ur right its this country what needs sorting out
