It rained last night from about 6.30 to 11.30.............and it was LOVELY!!!! I felt really sorry for the Indian tourists though that have come here in large numbers to celebrate Holi and Easter. At least most of them had the sense to bring umbrellas!! OOOps!!.....it's raining again now (12.22pm)...gotta get the washing in!!

.......stopped now, it was only a light drizzle. It's very overcast and dull today (much like yesterday), I think we could be in for another downpour this evening.

Would you believe it is raining again this afternoon (22/03). Thunder and lightning. Looks like it may clear for this evening in time for the saturday markets, lets hope so.

What an absolutely wonderful day, it reminded me of home (typical wet bank holiday). It might be raining here but spirits are high and everyone is in a festival mood - lots of traffic jams today, all the Indian tourists were getting out of their cars and dancing in the street..................this is the Goa I love!!!! One word of warning though...be careful on the roads because most of the drivers are absolutely P****d drunk, locals included....thats Holi for you!!

PS heard that Ingos is closed tonight as its Holi....does anyone know if this is true????

It rained again last night in Calangute / Baga at around 9pm - its causing lots of open air places to close. Also more rain at about 12.30am until the early hrs.....LOTS of it!! with thunder and lightening too. Today (Wednesday) is much as it was yesterday - overcast, very breezy with the odd burst of sun when the thick clouds allow. I watched a tourist bus arriving last night at around 1am, it was pouring with rain, we had a power cut, the rats were scarpering around :omg ....well that's what happens when it rains!! and these poor tourists got off the bus, they must have thought....oh my god, what have we done!!!! :cry I'm loving the weather at the moment but i do feel really sorry for those that have come away for a couple of weeks of sunshine, hopefully it'll be back to normal soon :sun

unfortunately, I think this is all Goa needs just now. First timers coming to rain in March- they won't bother returning. It just seems to be one thing after another just now. :(

I couldnt agree more its a really unlucky situation on top of all else!! infact some Goans are suggesting this is God's anger over all the bad things that have been happening,!!! this view was also aired in the newspaper some weeks ago when the first bad weather arrived!!!!they are quite superstitous people despite their religious beliefs ....... I too am quite enjoying the break in the weather GFF but as you say sooo sad for visitors like my son and g/f who have had this since arrival, looks like his dives wont happen as the visibility will be poor, a real shame as they have saved hard for this holiday! :( now all the electric supplies are being cut off to the huts, shacks etc and all illegal structures in palolem according to Herald causing chaos many losing power of course to their fridges/freezers and losing food...a lot of these have also paid certain monies!!!!!! despite being 'illegal'! we arent sure wether to go to palolem now, we were supposed to go Monday but sons g/f was sick so might go this weekend now...IF we go atall?? :think chilly
