Hi myself partner and two children are going to the Holiday Village on the 30th July, getting married on the 7th August. I feel a bit better knowing I'm not the only one concerned about the completion of it. I am also getting married in the grounds and have been quite worried because after receiving a letter to say the price for getting married on the grounds has gone up I e-mailed the wedding coordinator at resort to find out exactly what I was getting for my money. I was told the ceremony would be held outside the chapel (in the courtyard) and I was paying for chairs for the guests and a table for the signing. Someone mentioned a gazebo, I was just wondering have you been able to book this or is it something you are just hoping to have?

Hi congrats! Well if you get the wedding brouchure from 1st choice it shows you the gazebo all set up for a wedding, i was told we would be in the grounds not in a courtyard!! I will get in touch with the wedding co at the begining of april as that is when she said the new pics will be ready and then i will also sort all this worry out! They will have a big row on there hands if the fee's have gone up ect :yikes . Though they did email me 2 months ago when i wrote my concerns and they said that we could be sure that our wedding with them will be one of the best experiences we have had!!! So i am still hopefull :cheers

Hi, it seams we all have a few concerns! Have you looked back through the pages? someone has put a picture of the chapel on here and its right next to the restaurant! I am also getting married in the gardens but wasn't told it would be in the chapels courtyard! I do hope that we get the gazebo tho.

I got a letter today telling my that the Kid's Suite that we booked will now be known as a Family Room with Kid's Den and will have two single beds in the den and a double bed and armchair in the living area. Can't really remember the full detail's of the Kid's Suite as I booked last April but hope the changes are just as good as the original room!

Hi everyone. Melanie I did see the photo of the chapel and the restaurant and thats when I thought mmm I was told I was getting married outside the chapel where I had in mind grass, flowers etc, not tables with blue and white cheque table cloths. As in one of the First Choice brochures there is a photo of a wedding (it doesnt say where it is) but it is literally taking place on a patio right outside the chapel. However I have been told by FC that there will be flowers and greenery etc. Has anybody else received a letter to say the price for getting married on the grounds has gone up? I booked Sept 07 and besides all the other costs eg marriage certificate etc I was told by the travel agent that it was approx £125 max to get married on the grounds depending on how much you spent on your reception, the more you spent the less cost for grounds. Then I received a letter from FC beginning 08 to say that it was now approx £250, and when I rang them I was told that that was regardless of what you were spending on your reception. Today I have also received yet another 'ERRATA' letter informing that there will not be a man made beach as stated in the brochure and even though the brochure states there are seven restaurants they would like to advise that four are not directly on site, neither is the supermarket. They are really getting me worried, I dont want to be a grey bride!

Hi all im getting married at the Aliathon 5th august 08 but i decided to go to the Town Hall and use a wedding co-ordinator, although now i am beginning to get worried about the complex being completed the only letter i have received is the one about the Driving Range and the fact that it wont be complete but the further time goes by im hearing something else is not going to be ready. THink i might give FC another ring tomorrow and see what they have to say this time. :que

Im not surprised re the statement 'there will not be a man made beach'....... because the nearest beach is across the road !

I understand there is a beach across the road I am just pointing out that the Holiday Village was advertised as having a free form swimming pool with a man made beach, and if you have kids who would like to play in the sand and you have paid to go all inclusive you are obviously not going to benefit much from it if you are at the beach most days!
My letter only came today so I havnt rang FC yet I will give a ring tomorrow.

Hi Please let us know what fc have to say when you have spoken to them.

There will be about 15 of us have you got family going with you?

Yes there are 14 of us altogether. Myself hubby to be and our two children (5) and (11 months) my parents and brother in law and partner are going for two weeks then the rest are just coming the second week for the wedding. Im excited but worried at the same time. After receiving my last errata letter I spoke to first choice and was assured that the driving range/putting green was the only thing that was going to be behind schedule (for July) as they has decided to change it from one to another. As none of us are golfers this didnt bother me, but after this letter today I am finding myself wondering if and how many more Im going to receive before the holiday.

Hi everyone, I haven't recieved any letters from first choice since the one about the golf course. Have recieved a few from a yacht company tho. I have emailed first choice in Cyprus to find out exactly what to expect with regards to the gardens, courtyard ect. That was yesterday haven't heard anything back yet but will let you know what they say. I was told that the venue would cost us around £100! It seams nothing is certain!! Its very hard getting married like this. We dont know how much we need for the wedding costs or what time we are getting married! How did you find out what time you are getting married Michelle? Are you ok with the time? I'm hoping mine will be earlier than 4.30pm.
