I've just been in the Flamingo Oasis looking for Jean, but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack as I have no idea what she looks like, so I walked around looking at peoples wrists to spot the HT blue wristband.
We had the animation team over from the FO at the Regente last night to perform grease...a special "one off" to celebrate one of their friends birthday who works here at the Regente....
I really enjoyed it.....

Jean and her hubby came over to the Regente this morning, we didn't have long together as I was busy packing and guess what, I would never have found her as the HT wristband is still in her suitcase and not on her wrist. 
For all those people coming out to benidorm....I hope you all have a smashing time and the weather is kind to you all.
Just going for lunch now, should land back in the Uk at 9 pm.

My bropther returned from the FO yesterday and said apart from one day of rain and two cloudy afternoons the weather was very good!

i have just tried upgrading to the oasis from the palm beach with alpha rooms for the 12th of next month but it must be fully booked as it aint on alpha rooms system

My hubby has come back with his bald head full of a heat rash (red spots) and he used sun cream, he hasn't had a heat rash for many years, there were alot of people looking like walking beetroots at Alicante Airport.The security guard was stopping people on entry to the FO and asking to see their cards.....He didn't ask me, I must look OK

Yeah we never got stopped last Easter either although I know quite a few people did. Maybe its because a lot of times we are mistaken for Spanish. both hubby and I and son are small and very dark haired. I get a lot of people asking me for directions in Spanish when we go on holiday and they are surprised when I tell them I'm English. Fake tan and all. Karen

Would appreciate if anyone going there would report back on the smoking policy in the hotel, eg is there a smoking area or a bar where it is allowed?

Luci, I was in the FO the other day and yes smoking is allowed at the back of the veranda area, there may be other areas, but def it is allowed on the enclosed veranda area, as we sat down around a table and enjoyed a ciggie, with others.

Thanks Sanji. I have since read the most recent hotel reviews since posting that and it mentions the areas where smoking is allowed.

but as well as where Sanji has mentioned, you used to be able to smoke at the back of the concert room downstairs. Perhaps someone who has been more recently could advise you if they still allow it.

In january it was still allowed so unless theve changed it since it still should be. =]

Many thanks for the replies. As long as there is at least one area I'll be happy. We had a look round the Poseidon Hotel and it was totally non-smoking so was just checking that the FO wasn't the same.

Has the FO been updated yet?? went last year for the 2nd time and was told it was getting a face lift. I love this hotel shame about the bad reviews its getting regarding the food im def going back soon.
