I used to live in Gumbet so if you want to know anything just ask. You will find it a lot smaller than Marmaris but I think it is nicer. It gets very busy mid season but it is a bit more civilised in May, you will still find plenty to do though, lots of bars, restaurants and nightlife, nice beach, day trips etc. The weather in May is usually lovely and hot in the day but not overbearing and fairly warm at night, although some nights can be a bit cool.
