saoirsechick - Although I can't help you I will be watching this topic as well. A group of us are thinking of going late September and wondered what the weather will be like then, along with the prices of essentials like beer and grub!!

September is a nice time to go although you can expect it to rain on a few days, just like anywhere else in the Med'

Beer prices depends on what you drink! you can buy 500 ml cans of German/Dutch lager at quite a few bars that are priced between e 1.15 to e 1.40. local beer is around e 1.50 a pint. However Cider is for some strange reason priced up to e 3.50. :que

beer - as per m&n - supermarkets prices about half that. You can now get proper Belgian beers (ie Trappist style) in several places - excellent websites for beer availability (from the same guy)

cigarettes - Euro 3.50-4.00

wine - restaurant/bar - Euro 5 upwards - typical is Euro 8-10 - in a supermarket Euro 2 is about when wine becomes drinkable - our normal at home wines are Euro 2-4

coffee - from50c - Euro 5 - typical is Euro 1

eating out -typical restaurant meal per person incl 1/2 bottle of wine - 2 courses -Euro 15-25 would cover mid-range restaurants. Pizza Euro 3-5. Pastizzi 25-50c
