I was there at the same time last year, which was the latest we had ever been in Oct. There was a bit of rain but it was mostly in the early mornings so by 11am the sun was out. The temp often got up to mid twenties and the nights were comfortable. It was definitely hot enough for sun bathing most days. Depending on which part of the island you may need a cardie at night as it can be breezy. Some of the places were shut in smaller resorts, but everything was open in Rhodes Town. There were still plenty of tourists, just less kids.
