Another aspect to the way people responded to this complaint is 'how important would it have been to them ?'
Some people like to go sightseeing on holiday, visiting nearby towns, historical sites, shopping etc.
Others like to get a sunbed at 9am and stay on it reading, relaxing, swimming (if pools are available) till about 5pm and then go in to get ready for their evening meal. Possibly for all seven days.
Depending on your person choice, a sunbed not being available to you for those seven days could actually have a major or minor impact on your holiday.
I also think this complaint would get nowhere with a solicitor, but I still think it is a valid complaint.
It has also made anyone who reads this thread aware of a potential problem, for which I thank Julie. I personally don't think we will hear from her again, because of the way in which her post was answered.
So far as sunbathing is concerned, well if I were going away in March I would go somewhere that had a good record of sunshine such as the Canaries or further afield to Egypt or the Caribbean, possibly Cyprus but I'd have some hesitations. I like the option of sunbathing all day if I wish so I wouldn't choose a resort that wasn't traditionally a 'winter sun' resort. I would rather err on the side of caution when it comes to weather issues.
Lara Beach Antalya IS in the First Choice and Thomas Cook Wintersun brochures. We have previously been in November and had wonderful weather and got lovely tans. It was warmer there in Nov, than when we went to Tenerife the April before. In Nov all the pools were open - (they were freezing though,) and all the sunbeds were available. Denny
Well yes, granted, but because I like my sun I know through research that Turkey isn't a traditional winter sun resort. Of course, a lot of people would presume that if it was in a wintersun brochure then typically it would be sunbathing weather I guess.
