It did look lovely and very peaceful. Is it do-able in a day trip?

Yes...we've got a taxi up there.

We have been a few years ago and have it on our list to do when we go in December.

Yours truly took the photo's

We did the journey from bottom end of Candolim by scooter, it took about 1hour 20 minutes stopping off on the way to buy a bottle of water and a leg stretch.

Never ever been offered a trip to this beach by any of the taxi drivers when the are trying to get you to have a day out with them,
perhaps there is no financial incentive from shack owners?

So if you want to go there and they offer somewhere else stick to your guns!

Its well worth the trip there where no hawkers and just two masseaurs who flitted from end to end of the beach.

Its a day we will be repeating on our next trip in jan 2009

We also went there by scooter one day. We stopped off at vagator, Morjim. Asvem and mandrem on the way for refreshments and a swim (it was a very hot day). We had a fab day. Passed through some lovely villages and saw some great countryside. Well worth the day out and not that far.

Is this the beach north of Tiracol where you can see the oreplant on the "nose" (dont know the correct name in english, any corrections are welcome) out in the sea on the south end of the beach?

I think Querri should read Querim or Kerri beach, then if you do a search you will find information. The far north is well worth a visit.

Querim is the beach adjacent to the ferry crossing to Tiracol.

Reddi is the beach across the border in Maharashtra beyond tiracol and the iron ore works.
p.s. It gets it's name fromReddi Fort, which is a ruin hidden in the jungle behind the beach.

Had a look at your pictures.
They are very nice - they are from Querim Beach. :whoops

To get get to Reddi - you have to cross the river, go over the border and drive beyond the iron ore works.
Once there, you will find that there are no shacks, beds etc. :tup

Well Ian !
If you have mislead anyone, then so have all the guide books and maps, i have looked at. for they all describe Querim/Keri as different names for the same beach. Situated north of Arambol, and the most northerly beach in Goa ie- the one in your photos.

Too much wine last night - the one north of Tiracol is Reddi sometimes called Paradise Beach. :cheers

You're right about Querim/Kerri being one in the same.

Sorry.

p.s. Never make a posting when you are pissed. :cheers
