Cheers Jean thats sounds ok to me, will ask them for that when we check in. Going to send an email request for a low floor a week before we go. Do you know if theres Parasols for shade on the roof top terrace? E'vonne tends to nod off after a bit so its safer just to "stick her" under one of them, rather than fry!....Although then again...Ha Ha!...Cant see why she nods off when she's got my company all day :que

Hi Tuppence,
Ive emailed the Flamingo Oasis on all 3 ocassions when we have booked to go, and they have always got backed to me by email the same day, One main reason being i made the effort to speak to the reception staff the 1st time we went as I knew id be going again. The nicest ones to email are Kellie and Mick on reception, they recornised me streight away when I went last month. It was them 2 people who emailed me back this year and last. (they are english so that helps) When i go on August 3rd with the family we have a single room booked for my nan, usually the single rooms are the small pokey ones at the side of the hotel but mick kindly said we can have 2 family ones over looking the pool next door to each other on a low floor
(just shows how nice they are)
You will notice when you check they keep the email with your details so dont worry if they dont get back to you.

Hope you get what you want.

Have A Great Time!

Danny :)

Hi

we are going to the FO on 27 May this year, I have read some posts saying they have emailed the hotel asking for a high room or pool view, does anyone know if you have to pay extra for these.

also does anybody know if they have any scuba diving sessions at the hotel or contact details or any info/advice as we have never tried this but would like to.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, you don't pay any extra for a pool view or high floor at the Flamingo Oasis.

I don't think that they do scuba diving lessons at the hotel.

This site my be of interest to you.

Hi Sue, there was a bloke there two years ago who gave scuba diving lessons with his wife as Mick went out with them one day. They did a few days at the Oasis, some at The Pelicanos and a few more at the Regente, is he not htere anymore then? The lady who went round the pool touting for him was lovely, Angela I think she was called.

Hi

Thanks for the information I will ask at the hotel when I get there. I also would like to go on the downhill bike ride but my wife is a bit worried that the hills maybe too steep.

To try and keep information and discussion here specifically about the Flamingo Oasis, could we use THIS alternative topic please for holiday countdown posts. I have transferred recent posts over to that topic.

Many thanks

Hi its all done via modems built into the pc's at the desks, there is no wi-fi available i'm afraid. There is 6-8 stations though so its easily accessable. It costs 1 euro every 10 minutes i think it was or 2 euros for 30 minutes but it might have changed as we went 2 years ago. As for the rooms you might be better off getting 2 rooms even though the rooms are massive, you can get them next door to each other, just email Miguel who is the manager of reception and he will do his best to sort you out. Here is the link to email him http://www.flamingooasis.com/

Thanks
