It really depends on a few things, are you A1, B & B, HB for example? If b&b, then eating out can be as expensive and as cheap as you want. Most menus have prices on the outside before you go in, there are a lot of nice eating places serving, chicken, red meats, fish, chinese, japanese, Thai, Mcdonalds, Hard Rock cafe, you name it, they have it there, even cafes have food. We are never really on a tight budget, but we ate 3 courses, with wine and bottled water and steak plus fish for a tenner for both of us roughly. We took £200 a fortnight for food and drinks and we came back with £75 of it. Mcdonalds is really dirt cheap, but never went there myself, we tried all local cuisine. The chinese restaurants are dearer as you would expect, but we always ate well when we were there. There are alot of nice hotel restaurants you can wonder into that have entertainment on, whilst you eat, we go to a fair few whist eating out.

If you buy coke and water from the local supermarkets, you will find them a whole lot cheaper than hotels. We buy large bottles of water for 50p, coke about the same price.
