Before my girlfriend and I begin renting a studio for the season, we're booking 10 days in Rhodes town at a cheap hotel. We're looking at Als Hotel as it's easily the cheapest we've found in Rhodes town. There are very few reviews, and they seem to not lean one way or another. For comparison, we stayed at the Alexia two years ago in May and we were very pleased. We believe you get what you pay for, but we don't ask for much. Just a clean room with a shower and TV. Nothing else.
If anyone has any info about Als Hotel, I'd appreciate it. Cheers!
Likewise, i've stayed at Alexia previously but with the poor exhange rate we're getting against the euro it was a bit more pricey, so i too have booked Als for our night in Rhodes Town this May. Most reviews seem ok but aren't very recent, i did find a couple from last summer on this site http://www.zoover.co.uk/greece/rhodes/rhodos_stad/als/hotel and they don't seem bad.
To be honest Alexia is far from luxury and from the pics this hotel does look comparable so i guess we'll have to see. A comfortable bed and a hot shower is all i'm hoping for

Friends of mine stayed here a few years ago and said it was okay but the Alexia was far superior to it.I haven't stayed there myself so can only pass on their opinion.
