Does anyone know if there is a railway that runs along the coast from Zeebruge terminak to Ostend.
I read it somewhere but cant find any information on it.

Not a railway, Garry, but a tramline, running from Knokke to De Panne. The website is here (Flemish only, I'm afraid): http://www.dekusttram.be/pages2/home.html

The nearest stop is, I think, "Strandwijk" - exit the Hull ferry terminal on to Leopold II Dam, turn left, and walk down to the junction with Kustlaan, by the Stella Maris church; the Strandwijk stop is just to your right. Trams run roughly every 15 minutes, from memory, so need to rush.
that should have been NO need to rush
Anyway, enjoy Ostend (I love the place) and have a glass of Palm Special for me when you're there
