sj have a look at my photos ive put in the gallery of letoonia, it has everything that lykia has, including fab scenery but the beach side is a bit shingly. the main + is that its 24 all incs with some international brands , so i was very happy with my baileys and archers lol

hi, thanks, does look good, but thinking of further up. Would like shallower sandy beaches too. Some good ones in Turkey but what about Greece? Looking to go early July. Would like a good late price offer, but prepared to pay for quality. Most of all dont want to have to put out towels. Never had to at Lykia and went in July and Sept. Good hotels provide towels and take them away when sunbeds not in use. I'm sure i would scream or throw them in the pool if every where was covered in towels!!!!
Cheers

Wow thatlooks fantastic! Just a bit over budget tho! Could price drop closer to July on it I wonder!? ARe any other operators selling it or is it Thomson exclusively?. Also couldn't find room rates- just price for 2 rooms - but what I don't know????
Will definately keep that one in mind!
Thanks a lot

Hi sj

I don't really know if it could cost less closer to booking. TO priceing is a bit of a mystery to me. It isn't a personal recommendation as such as I haven't been there (well I have been to Chania in Crete which is lovely, but not to that resort if you see what I mean :duh ).

What about the Pegasus Palace that is supposed to be self-contained in the same way as Lykia is, but I would imagine comes up cheaper? It also has its own thread on here & someone else on here has booked the Aqua Fantasy in Kusadasi as she couldn't get a good price on Lykia either.

Hi Doe,
I will keep a check on the prices, you just never know!
I have seen some lovely hotels in Turkey. We've been 3 times now, twice Lykia and once to Side. Would like somewhere closer for Ephesus if go again, but daughter wants a different country!!! Though Aqua Fantasy does look good, haven't checked out Kusadasi yet. Turkey hotels do seem to have it all: excellent scenery, plenty to do in hotels or out, good food, and the prices are good too! Our only gripe with Lykia was the beach- too stoney and water very deep. WE are all ok swimmers, but just getting to the pontoon frightened the life out of me! lol but as there are so many pools we didn't get bored. I know some put towels out but we move from pool to pool and never had a problem. Oh dear sounds like I want to go back to Lykia, but will keep looking for now!

Hi sj

I have been to Olu Deniz once before in 2006 and that is why I am going back in 2008.
If you are really into Turkey another hotel you could consider is the Club Belcekic Beach in Olu Deniz. I don't suppose it is in the same league for childrens facilities as Lykia, however the food is superb & IMHO the location is miles better than Lykia as it is actually in Olu D, so you can walk everywhere and will save a fortune on cabs. If you found the beach a problem at Lykia (ive seen the pictures so I know what you mean !) you can walk to the Lagoon from the BB, or get the private buses to the private beaches which you cant do from Lykia as Lykia wont let the buses down there.
