Don't know your named places specifically but I'd go for Cambrils if I were you, perfect resort for young children. Small, quiet, nice Spanish sweety shops, swing park, great beach and lovely big pedestrian town square type shopping area.

October should still be fine temperature wise, t-shirt and shorts but maybe a sweater at night with a shower here and there likely by that time.
