Hi,
Does anyone know if Virgin Mobile PAYG work in Goa (I'm on their 'Liberty Sim' DD payment method)?
Because I get 300 mins a month paid for I'm wondering if anyone knows if Virgin works in Goa. The last time I went there I was told by them oh yes it does...... oh no it didn't!
Maybe things have changed.
Any info?
I have a Motorola L6 which is difficult to unlock apparantly..... I gave my unlocked ancient Nokia to a Taxi driver.... bad move!

I have Tesco PAYG and I belive that is supplied by Virgin. I could text but not ring from it in Goa

yes both texting and phone works on a virgin sim in Goa but you wont get your free minutes they are only for use at home you will pay the roaming price for calls and texts

By far the cheapest way is to take with you a photocopy of your passport, visa & a passport photo and buy an Indian sim card (I use Airtel) which you can then top up as required - the cost of calls seemed very low, in particular a text message to the UK cost Rs 5 (6 pence - compared with vodafone at about 75 pence).
